A:
They aren’t, usually the customer doesn’t realize that you must first pump the rubber ball on the top of the pen to get the ink flowing. Then you must apply a decent amount of pressure to the tip on the pen in order for the “valve” to open and allow the ink to come out. Each time the pen is lifted up, the valve will close. So you must apply a constant pressure.

Is there any way to remove TexPen® ink from a garment?

A:
Please remember these pens are indelible ink and are formulated not to come out of clothing once applied. If ink does need to be removed from a garment, it’s best to attempt removal immediately. The longer the ink sits in the garment the harder it is to remover, because the ink cures. Try using acetone on a small section of the garment to remove the ink. Please note that acetone is harsh chemical and may damage the garment.

A:
You can use a TexPen® on various materials. However, please be advised that you will get the best results when using these pens on smooth garments. Clothing that has significant texture (such as socks) will be hard to write on.

A:
The TexPens (PN3) are intended for textiles. They can also be used on wet-strength paper- but will not adhere well to metal.

Is there a special way to operate the Permanent Markers?

A:
After pumping the bulb on top, it is important to press down on the ball point when writing. The ball point acts as a valve and it is activated when pressed on. By opening the ball point valve, the paint from the pen comes out. If the ball point tip is pressed and released, the paint will soon run out making the pen seem like it’s drying out prematurely.

A:
The pens have a ball point tip that stay closed unless pushed down. A missing cap would not dry them out.

A:
TexPens® come in 5 different colors and are a permanent way to mark on fabrics. They are very simple to use: 1. Hold pen in an upright position. 2. Press down on rubber bulb once, pen will write normally. 3. Only pump bulb more than once if the pen is cold, or if the pen is almost empty. Wipe tip off before storing.
