What would cause the button to crack on shirts when pressing medium or heavy starch? Is there something that can be done to prevent this to happen?

A:
Buttons breaking while pressing are normally caused severely compressed steel base pads. To decrease button breakage, increase the longevity of your pads and covers and reduce touch up time, consider ordering new steel.
