How do you drain water from the Wilkerson Air Line Filter (PRT426)?

Drain the filter of any contamination through the drain valve on the bottom of the bowl. Counterclockwise rotation on the knob will allow the liquid and particulate debris to be removed through the drain on the bowl. You can also turn the air system off and remove the bowl from the filter for a thorough cleaning. A ¼ rotation in a counterclockwise direction will release the bowl.

How often should I replace the element in the filter on my airline regulator?

The Filter/Regulator and the Filter contain a 5-micron element to protect your air system from contaminates. The element should be replaced every 6-9 months or as needed. The interval between changes will depend on how dirty you air system is. A good indication that the element needs to be replaced would be reduced air flow through the filter. You will manually drain any liquid in the bowl and remove the bowl/bowl guard with the quick release disconnect on the filter. There will be a retainer baffle that needs to be unscrewed. The element is a white polypropylene material that can easily be removed once the baffle is on screwed. You will replace the element, screw the retainer baffle back in place, and connect the bowl/bowl guard to the filter. Instruction on installation and maintenance are provided with every unit.
