Elastic cotton swim reel is ideal for wash and wear garments or swimwear because it is unaffected by saltwater, chlorine, oil and solvents. It is dry cleanable and flame retardant. It features a horizontal pull that stretches lengthwise. Made from cotton and neoprene. Measures 1/4" x 120 yards. Available in natural only.

We have confirmed with the factory that the elastomer used in this style is Neoprene which is resistant to salt water, chlorine, oil, and solvents. It is dry cleanable and flame retardant.

Hi Miriam, thank you for your question.
This item is made of cotton with neoprene. The max temperature for cotton should be about 135 degrees and neoprene about 275 degrees. It is recommended that 100% cotton stay on low temperatures when drying. Most household dryers run from 125-135 degrees (low to high), but some dryers (mostly commercial or professional grade) can reach up to 175 degrees. This item is also dry cleanable.

We do not have the Elastic Cotton Swim Reel Elastic in 3/8". We do have the Plastic Swimwear Elastic in 3/8", the part number is EL-4001.
